Jimmy Barnatán & The Cocooners

Versatile from the cradle, Jimmy Barnatán was born in Madrid in 1981, but he feels more Cantabrian and Argentinian at the same time and also a bit New Yorker, city where he spent part of adolescence and he drank his musical tastes. Best known so far as an actor, Jimmy is an excellent musician besides a writer.

At 11 he began his career singing and performing the rock opera "Les Miserables" and showed up in some TV shows. In 1995 he debuted in cinema with Alex de la Iglesia, in the movie "The Day of the Beast" and since then, he has appeared in nearly 20 films.

Popularity arrived him through TV, thanks to series such as Hermanos de leche, Al salir de clase, El comisario and of course Los Serrano. As a songwriter and singer Jimmy began more than ten years ago, always influenced by American music that has followed him throughout his life. As a vocalist has been involved in several bands where his blues and soul voice was the main protagonist. The Soul, Blues and Rock & Roll live in his throat.

In 2009 he recorded "Black Note" in Madrid, in SONOLAND studios. In 2012 he released "AFTER THE TIMES BLUES" his first album available to the public, which showed that he´s not only a popular actor but also a great musician who also acts ...

His lively character and hard work brought Jimmy to present last year his third recording album ROOM 13, a blues album made with The Cocooners in Cubex studios and with contributions by Alex Angulo, Adriana Ugarte and Gran Wyoming.

He also noted performed in two of the most important European blues festivals, the BluesCazorla and the Hondarribia Blue, where he left his fantastic voice mark. Currently, he is submerged in his fourth album Motor Club tour
