A Contra Blues is a band that has become established in national blues scene. Since its foundation eight years ago, the band has published four albums

Tradition and heterodoxy live together in the band repertoire, and both blend in a natural form, the band's fresh and seasoned performances of the classics as well as their own songs. Result of these qualities the band's performances combine both their spontaneity and carefully elaborated arrangements.

Their energetic shows, sometimes up to 180 minutes long, are filled with strength, solidity and empathy. A Contra Blues lives by and for the live show. In their performances they accomplish climactic moments and a natural rapport with the audience as much in the high moments of dynamism as in their more intimate sounds. This show leaves no one indifferent .

A Contra Blues has been the winner of the European Blues Challenge 2014, celebrated in Riga (Latvia).
