A funeral dyed jazz

New Orleans is a unique city in the world for many reasons: a seedbed of musical styles, multiculturalism and traditions are some of its characteristics. And one of the most unusual customs that he maintains is that of his funerals. This band will offer an authentic, singular and surprising show: a funeral procession tinged with jazz.
Funeral Jazz dates back to the early years of the 19th century, when slaves and non-slaves combined their efforts and the few resources they had to provide the dead with a dignified burial. On the outward journey the pace is calm, at the slow pace of the funeral march performed by the band. Once the deceased is buried, a call from the cornet indicates to the staff the change of pace.
Then, the whole procession celebrates the life led by the deceased and dances animated to help release his soul unfolding the entire attrezzo, waving handkerchiefs and fans and spinning the characteristic umbrellas of colors.
