Poster homage to a classic

For a second consecutive year, the poster announcing the festival has been chosen through a public contest called by the city council of Hondarribia. Among the 31 works presented, the poster is entitled "Blue Bluesman" and is designed by Javier Mina and Javier Balda, from Pamplona.

The poster is inspired by the portrait of bluesman Blind Lemon Jefferson, one of the classic blues history prints alongside Robert Johnson's portrait, with a view focused on the pictorial current typical of Memphis and the state of Mississippi.

Blind Lemon Henry Jefferson, born blind, was an influential singer and rural blues guitarist, one of the most popular during the 1920s.
