Hondarribia

How to get there

Hondarribia it is a town with a population of 14,000 inhabitants located on the east side of the Basque Coast. At the foot of Mount Jaizkibel (the highest on the Cantabrian Coast), bathed in the Cantabrian Sea and the Txingudi Bay (which forms the River Bidasoa estuary), it is in a privileged location that is complemented by its easy access and its condition as a natural frontier with Hendaye in the French Basque Country.

At only 20 minutes away from San Sebastian, at an hour from Bilbao and Pamplona, San Sebastian Airport is situated in Hondarribia from which flights to Madrid and Barcelona depart every day.

By road

The A 8 Bilbao-Behobia motorway, the N-1 and the N-121 coming from Pamplona all lead to Irun. Both towns (Hondarribia and Irun) are adjacent, so we have no difficulty in getting there. Likewise, we have to go through Irun if we want to cross into France by road.
